Home
Welcome to my homepage. I am Romke van der Meulen, known online as Redge (RedgeOnline) or Reginald. I'm a spiritual computer-nerd from the Netherlands. I work as a PHP programmer at iWink webdesign, and when I'm not too busy with other stuff I also occasionally study.

Redge's Shared Items
I publish content on several social media, but I started to think that this was a bit inaccessible. So I've written a webapplication that pulls content from these social networks and integrates them. The application can be found here.
Studies
I study Artificial Intelligence at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, now working to complete my Bachelor degree. Fields particularly drawing my interest right now are cognitive ergonomics, speech and language among others. I plan to go on to get my Masters degree in "Human Machine Communication".
I have some publications online, but so far none in English.
Career
I'm currently an employee at iWink webdesign, an internet design agency from the northern Netherlands. Though not the biggest in the field, we're known for making quality products and have won some prestigious awards.
I'm currently working on the company intranet, which is both challenging and rewarding as I'm always around the people who use the product I'm working on.
Open source
I don't actually code much in my free time, but a few things that I want to share with the world can be found in my repository. There are some projects I've published as open source: see here.
Philosophy
I am a born-the-first-time self-proclaimed eclectithousiast, which is just my way of saying that I like the concept of eclecticism. My fancy is held by almost any culture ancient enough, but I find far-eastern philosophies particularly interesting, especially taoism. I apply a significant amount of my time and energy in philosophy, and I welcome any opportunity to discuss it with others. At the moment, I'm busy working out the cosmology of Ages (if you don't know what Ages are, I suggest you play Myst).
Misc
And then there is so much more I'd like to talk about. And I do, at length. There's my experiences with Google products, Stumbling, watching anime, SF shows and other nerd-stuff. But to keep this site at least half-way organized, I'll vent those ramblings in my blog. I also like to share content I come across and find interesting with the world, which I do here.
